The MX20 — Shift Up a Gear and Go Further
The MX20 is the perfect kids bike for riders aged 5½ and upwards who are making the exciting move to gears and going further than ever before!
With 7-speed gearing to tackle the ups and downs of both hills and energy levels, your young rider will always have the right gear for the job. Easy to adjust for a perfect fit as they grow, the MX20 is built to keep up with every twist and turn. And with grippy tyres ready to handle paths and tracks, there's no limit to where the ride might take them.
Designed for Young Riders:
Easy-Pedal Cranks — Our pedal cranks are ergonomically correct, proportional to the child's leg length. They also place the pedals closer to the bike's centre so that children can pedal as smoothly and naturally as possible.
Smaller Grips — Our handlebars and grips are narrower diameter so they fit small hands better, for confidence and control as well as better ability to reach the brakes safely.
Better Brakes — Brake levers are closer to the bars and adjustable for reach to suit smaller hands, and work perfectly with our smaller diameter grips.
Lowered Frames — Our frames are lower where it counts, making it easier to get on and off and increasing clearance for greater confidence.
Steering Limiter — To help prevent falls when learning to co-ordinate pedalling and cornering, the steering has a limit stop that helps avoid an over-steering situation.
Designed for Parents:
Supporting Accessory Range — For gifts, customisation or just getting co-ordinated!
Transferable warranty — Our lifetime frame and fork warranty and 2-year parts warranty is transferrable, supporting service and re-sale value. Because these bikes are made to last.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the MX20 weight vs Dimension 20 weight?
The MX20 weighs 9.6kg, compared to 9.1kg for the Dimension 20 — a difference of 0.5kg. Both are significantly lighter than budget steel-framed bikes of the same size, which typically weigh 11–12kg or more.
What are the parts differences between the MX20 and the Dimension 20?
The MX20 uses a steel fork and some lower cost parts such as Microshift shifters instead of Shimano and lower cost hubs and tyres. This gets a lower price than the Dimension 20. The fit and comfort details are the same between the models as this is the most important aspect in children riding confidently, once the bike is in the right weigh ranges (as they are).
